It’s not your average food court sushi stand; there’s more polish, more care and a genuine passion for ingredients and technique. From the menu, a couple of genuine star dishes stand out: the Rock Corn Tempura rolls are crisp, golden and punchy, and the tuna tataki is fresh and bold, as is the rest of the sushi menu (the sea bass Uzui is a highlight). Look out too for hot noodle bowls and grilled teriyaki, as well as comforting dishes such as Truffle Mushroom Rice.
The service feels calm, as do the surroundings of wood-panelled walls. It’s ideal if you’re after a quiet bite, though drop‑in delivery options are available for takeaway. Our tip: Start with the Rock Corn Tempura rolls, then follow up
with a sushi combo or a steaming bowl of beef yakisoba. For something meaty, the moreish grilled lamb chops are a great bet. But it’s Wasabi’s ‘Signature platters’ that really win out for a sharing option.
